Over 200 nonprofit professionals and community leaders gathered to celebrate philanthropy and the hardworking individuals who help raise funds, resources and support for Inland Empire nonprofits. IEHP Foundation hosted the Association of Fundraising Professionals Inland Empire Chapter‘s Annual National Philanthropy Day on November 15 at IEHP’s atrium in Rancho Cucamonga.
National Philanthropy Day is celebrated annually around the country to recognize and pay tribute to the great contributions that philanthropy has made to our society. The event provides an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of those who have dedicated themselves to giving back to their communities.
AFP-IE Chapter President Kimberly Starrs, MBA, CFRE, President and CEO of Inland SoCal United Way, served as MC and welcomed fundraising professionals, philanthropists from across industries and their guests to the annual celebration. The local chapter’s National Philanthropy Day Committee presented four awards, including Community Champion, Philanthropist and Professional Fundraiser of the Year and a Lifetime of Achievement Award.
IEHP Foundation Board Chair Stephen Bennett delivered opening remarks, celebrating the nominees and providing a brief update on the Foundation. He highlighted how nonprofits have become the backbone of our communities during the pandemic and continue to passionately and diligently serve our region. The Foundation was proud and honored to serve as the presenting sponsor for National Philanthropy Day to show its support and utmost appreciation for the IE nonprofits and to continue to engage and listen to the opportunities and challenges facing the communities throughout the region.
IEHP Foundation congratulates all the nominees and winners for their outstanding contributions to the communities they serve. Each award was well-deserved, and we appreciate the tireless efforts of all those who support local nonprofits. Thank you for all that you do!
