Grant Opportunities

Working together with IE Nonprofits to Advance Vibrant Health

We support organizations that serve families with children across the Inland Empire. We invest in strengthening nonprofit infrastructure, increasing access to basic needs, and building healthier community environments. Our goal is simple: help trusted local leaders do their work better, reach more people and create lasting change where it’s needed most.

IEHP Foundation provides funding opportunities throughout the year through two main processes:

1) Requests for Application (RFA) Process

IEHP Foundation will have opportunities to apply for specific capacity-building training programs and funding approximately 2 – 3 times per calendar year. This competitive process is open to any nonprofit organization that meets the specific eligibility criteria outlined in the grant RFA, and each grant program will have specific eligibility criteria. To see currently open RFAs and past grant programs, see below.

2) Responsive Grants

As part of our responsive grantmaking strategy, IEHPF offers two types of responsive grants – Healthy Organizations grants and Healthy Communities grants. Both grant opportunities allow organizations to submit funding requests for projects and activities that advance Vibrant Health for Inland Empire community members and align with IEHPF’s mission, vision, and priorities.

More detailed grant summaries, including eligibility criteria, grant goals, key dates and evaluation criteria are available:

2026-2027 Grant Cycles

There are two grant cycles per year – organizations may submit only one request per year for either a Healthy Organizations or a Healthy Communities grant. It is recommended that organizations consider the implementation timeline for their request to determine which grant cycle best aligns with their project timeline and organizational fiscal year.

Grant Cycle 1 Application Window:  Feb. 26 – May 11, 2026 at 5pm

Grant Cycle 2 Application Window:  July 14 – October 5, 2026 at 5pm

Letters of Inquiry (LOI) for either grant opportunity must be submitted through IEHPF’s Grant Management Portal.

Make sure to review the Frequently Asked Questions & Answers (FAQ), as it is consistently updated as IEHPF staff receive questions in need of clarification about these opportunities.
