Collaborative Capacity Building Grant – Empowering Nonprofit Business Operations

IEHP Foundation has awarded 30 Collaborative Capacity Building Grants to support community based organizations (CBOs) in selected cities in San Bernardino County. The grant includes $5K for general operating expenses and a comprehensive 10-course educational program in partnership with Caravanserai Project.

You spoke up, and we listened!

At our community listening sessions throughout the region, CBO leaders shared their concerns and need for more general operations funding and staff/leadership training to strengthen business operations and foster better relationships with county and other funding partners.

The Collaborative Capacity Building Grant is designed to strengthen CBOs’ business operations and infrastructure, ultimately leading to greater sustainability and increased capacity to expand their services and advance health equity in their communities.

Grant recipients will participate in a 10-course business management training program led by our partner, Caravanserai Project, starting in April. Caravanserai Project is generously providing its training services in-kind through the use of various previously secured funding sources.

Upon the organization leader’s completion of the program, IEHP Foundation will award a $5,000 grant for building up infrastructure such as professional services, software, equipment, and other general operating and non-programmatic expenses.

At IEHP Foundation, we think of our community partners and grantees as Champions for Vibrant Health to help champion advancing health equity across the region.
