Josh Candelaria is a highly experienced government affairs leader known for his unwavering commitment and dedication to the Inland Empire. He has been a vocal and passionate advocate for the region, working extensively to promote its interests and improve the lives of its residents.
Candelaria is the principal of Viewpoint Advocacy, a small boutique government affairs firm based in the Inland Empire. His thoughtful approach, vast experience and commitment to serve the interests of others have allowed him to become a trusted advisor to many policymakers, community organizations and local decision-makers.
Candelaria’s experience in government affairs and passion for the region made him a perfect fit for the IEHP Foundation Board. He actively serves on various committees and chairs the Public Policy and Advocacy Committee.
When not working, he enjoys spending quality time with his family outdoors, appreciating the natural beauty of the Inland Empire.
We sat down with Candelaria to ask him what it means to serve on the board and how he hopes the Foundation will advance Vibrant Health for all in the region.
Q: Why did you join the IEHP Foundation Board?
A: I have a deep appreciation for the region, so serving on this board is a significant privilege. As a board member, I’m committed to complement and build upon the amazing work that is underway by so many people and organizations in our area.
Q: What is the importance of IEHP establishing this Foundation?
A: It’s unique that the Foundation is locally grown and cultivated. It’s an incredible opportunity for us to advocate and make an impactful change for the region I care deeply about.
Q: What are some of the strengths/opportunities within the Inland Empire?
A: Our biggest strength is our people. The individuals that reside and call the Inland Empire home. We are a very resilient group that cares about our neighbors and is vested in the community and the success of others.
Q: What do you feel is the biggest challenge facing the region?
A: Access. We must ensure opportunities are available and accessible for all residents to participate in and enjoy.
Q: What is your favorite place to visit in the IE?
A: Anywhere outdoors. The IE is a great place to be active and enjoy time with your family.

A: It means empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their health and life, helping them access opportunities and resources to thrive.
