Grant Opportunities
Working together with IE Nonprofits to Advance Vibrant Health
To advance health equity and combat health disparities across San Bernardino and Riverside counties, we aim to build healthy neighborhoods and cultivate healthy living by strengthening the capacity of local community-based organizations that address the social drivers of health.
IEHP Foundation provides funding opportunities throughout the year through two main processes:
1) Requests for Application (RFA) Process
IEHP Foundation will have opportunities to apply for specific capacity-building training programs and funding approximately 2 – 3 times per calendar year. This competitive process is open to any nonprofit organization that meets the specific eligibility criteria outlined in the grant RFA, and each grant program will have specific eligibility criteria. To see currently open RFAs and past grant programs, see below.
2) Invite-Only Process
For responsive grants and sponsorships, IEHP Foundation uses an invite-only process to reduce the burden on applicants and ensure efforts are strongly aligned with our priorities and focus areas. Funding is on an annual basis, will support general operations for a project or program and will typically range from $5,000 – $25,000. Fundraising events will not be considered.
Click here to request a meeting with an IEHP Foundation team member if you are with a nonprofit organization or network that serves families with children in the Inland Empire and have a project or program that is aligned with our Vibrant Health priorities.

To help nonprofits learn to cultivate, engage, and steward individual and family donors to lead to major gifts capable to support of your organization’s mission and long-term impact.
The Vibrant Health Fundraising Training Program (2025 Summer) is designed to equip nonprofit fundraising leaders and staff, who have experience in donor development, with the tools and knowledge to improve their donor cultivation and stewardship skills and processes necessary for increasing financial resources available for advancing Vibrant Health.
The goals and objectives of the program include the following:
- Prospect Identification: Learn how to use data analysis, wealth screening and referrals to identify high-net-worth individuals and families aligned with your NPO’s mission.
- Cultivation Plan: Participants will develop individualized plans that include one-on-one meetings, private tours, impact reports and exclusive event invitations.
- Stewardship & Retention: Participants will design a stewardship matrix to effectively cultivate and retain donors to maintain strong post-gift engagement.
- CRM and Website Mini-Audit and Recommendations: Fundraising coaches will conduct a mini-CRM and website audit with each participant and make recommendations.
- Donor Portfolio Design: Participants will create or refine a donor portfolio, including donor tiering and goal setting.
- Discovery Visit: Participants will be able to conduct an effective discovery visit to identify potential donor interests.
- Ask Visit: Participants will be able to confidently conduct an ask visit to solicit major gifts.
Training Participants
Organizations will be able to select (1) staff member to participate in a 7-week enhanced fund development training program and one 2-hour individual coaching session with IE-based fundraising experts. This is not intended for organizations who want to learn the basics of fundraising but for those ready and willing to cultivate and steward more individual donors to lead to major gifts to sustain long-term impact for the nonprofit organization.
In total, 20 organizations will be selected for this training opportunity. This is not a grant with direct funds, but a no-cost training program, which is valued at $2,500 per person.
